Come enjoy the fresh energy and movements of Cuban Popular Dance including Salsa Cubana (Casino) and many other types of Cuban Popular dance [rueda, son, mambo, cha cha chá, rumba, and more]!! Fun, friendly, and patient environment and instructor. Dynamic and fast moving!! Classes are instructed in a monthly modular format. Each month begin a new curriculum and focus on a specific set of movements to master so that students will have a degree of proficiency for consecutive lessons. Although new students are encouraged to start at the beginning of each month, students are not required to do so. Technique and theory will be emphasized. » Every Friday, 7-8pm (All levels) ** Classes do not have to be taken consecutively. Multiple class card will expire 3 months after purchase. «Class Payment.» Fees may be paid by cash or check in person. For your convenience, you may also pay fast and securely via PayPal prior to arriving to class (we are a verified PayPal member).
«Class Placement.» Drop-ins and all levels welcome!! Class is structured to move at a fast pace because of material being covered. The following is a recommendation for new and prospective students: As stated before, the single class has been structured and designed for students of all levels. New students with no experience and current dancers with minimal or no Cuban dance/movement skills are encouraged to learn the basic fundamentals and technique of Cuban salsa as presented in class. Beginner/ intermediate call list. Intermediate/advanced students who have a solid knowledge of basic/ intermediate movement and patterns are encouraged to focus on more advanced movement topics and improve existing technique as presented in class. Intermediate/ advanced call list. These are guidelines only. If you still have questions regarding class format, please feel free to ask for my assistance. My goal ultimately is to ensure the maximum benefit for you. For additional questions, please email or call 295.4815. «Class Conduct.» I am proud to say that I am blessed with students who compose a vast cultural, race, gender, age, height, and whatever difference. I have zero tolerance for bigotry, harassment, or snobbery of any sort. If at any time a student feels threatened or harassed for any reason, please alert me at once so I can deal with it promptly. You may remain anonymous, and I will still address the issue swiftly. Furthermore, if I feel an issue cannot be resolved, I have the absolute right to invite a problem to leave. Although we conduct ourselves in a learning environment, this is very much a fun, casual, social activity. Some come for learning, others for exercise, and others to see smiling faces. Please check any negativity or ego at the door, and let's dance!! Please inquire by email or call 295.4815. «Video/Recording» For legal purposes, privacy issues with other students and a bit of artistic licensing, we do not permit video/recording under any circumstances in the classroom setting; however, you may ask us to demonstrate a certain topic or pattern and most of the times we will happily oblige. Uploading class material to social sites (facebook, youtube, etc.) or other media sites is strictly forbidden and we reserve the right to all and any material in class.
